Environmental Management System Structure
The Group's Operating Business Units employ Environmental Management Systems that accord with ISO14001, the international standard for environmental management.
The primary aim of the system is to advance continual improvement of the Group's environmental performance, resulting in real business benefits that add to the bottom line.
The systems operated by the Business Units provide divisional strategy and then guidance to the sites and projects in drawing up individual environmental plans to actively control and improve the environmental impacts caused by our activities.
Environmental management has been part of the Gleeson culture
for a number of years and the system is reviewed on an annual
basis.
